MP 278/17 Senior Creative Producer / Director

We are excited to release a number of roles for our client working within Animation and the Creative Arts. In this recruitment wave we are seeking a Senior Creative Producer/Director.

Role Profile:
- You will be a highly versatile and creative Senior Producer / Director who will work with the team to develop new ideas for animated programs, apps and visual content in various animation styles and media including CGI, 2D and stop frame puppet
- You will work as part of the development and production teams contributing creatively in conceptualising, developing and taking forward into production new project ideas
- In collaboration with the Head of Productions will schedule and budget development projects and full long term animated series
- Will direct, manage and inspire the creative teams within the studio, ensuring deadlines and schedules are adhered to
- Will work closely with the management and production teams to contribute and help the studio achieve its aspirations and find creative solutions to challenges
- Will be an excellent and versatile all rounder who can take a project through from originating ideas, developing them, with a sound knowledge and experience of what is appropriate and fun for the target audience, to final delivery
- Will be responsible for helping the crew achieve the high standard and quality of design and content expected from the studio
- To assure “Best Practice” at all times
- Will be expected to oversee and manage the transition of a developed project into production and work with and along side the production team to ensure the series production continues to develop in the best way possible true to the original concept and brief, on schedule and budget
- Will hold regular “Development / Production” meetings and communicate fully with the crew, production office and management.
- Will be required to travel internationally to consult with overseas production companies and represent the studio.
- As a member of the development team will pitch and present new concepts, development and productions internally, with co-production partners and broadcasters
- Will be part of the interview process as we build up the creative teams.
- Will help facilitate and contribute to the training of new and inexperienced employees to prepare them for productive production roles and for the studio as a whole as new technology and techniques are introduced as necessary
- Will work closely with marketing and the commercial team
- Will explore new technology and innovative ways to enhance our animated content

Person Profile:
- Must be capable of creating and managing schedules, budgets ranging from pilots to long form animated series
- Must possess the required creative skills to ensure quality control in all aspects of production
- Proven credits as a Senior Creative producer and Director on three or more 2D and CGI series for Children
- Must be versatile and have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of animated production pipelines, including, 2D, CGI, stop frame and multimedia
- Will be required to have a high standard of presentation/pitching skills
- Experience in working with a variety of clients including British Broadcasters and overseas companies in developing ideas for Kids animated CGI and 2D series is essential
- Experience in Producing, Directing, and managing creative teams for animated projects that have been animated both in house and overseas such as China, India, Europe etc. This also is essential
- Must have excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead, inspire creative teams both in development and on production
- Have experience in developing and directing at least three animated children’s series from concept to final delivery
- Must be stylistically versatile, open to experimentation, new ideas and media
- Have strong management skills and be able to clearly brief, inspire and encourage other creatives and production staff
- Have the ability to work well in a team both with the creative teams and the production and management personnel
- Be prepared to construct and organise training schemes to teach personally or organise expert tuition
- Have experience with all narrative forms and storytelling
- Have experience in voice direction
- Must be prepared to work in-house out of their studios on the Isle of Man
